Prepare to witness the nation’s longest-running Disability Pride Parade as Chicago, Illinois, takes center stage in July. Renowned for its accessible public transportation systems, this established event beckons attendees with ease and convenience.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 22, 2023, as the city unites under a common mission. The Disability Pride Parade aims to redefine society’s perception of “disability” and fostering a celebration of the natural and awe-inspiring diversity within humanity.

The vibrant spectacle commences at the parade staging area, conveniently nestled at 401 S. Plymouth Court. This bustling starting point encompasses two full blocks of Plymouth Court, stretching between Congress Expressway and Jackson Blvd., just a stone’s throw away from State Street.

Get ready for the highly anticipated return of the Disability Unite Festival on July 16th. This year, join in celebrating the 33rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at this remarkable event that brings together communities.

Immerse yourself in four hours of captivating live theatrical performances, thought-provoking panel discussions, interactive games led by disabled community organizations, and artistic activities guided by talented disabled artists. With over 45 booths and tables representing various disability community organizations and city agencies, there’s an abundance of knowledge and connections to be made.

The Disability Unite Festival, held at the iconic Central Park Naumburg Bandshell in New York City, is more than just a local gathering. It serves as a global platform. For those unable to attend in person, fear not. The Disability Unite Festival will be streamed live online, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy the event with full accessibility features. Captions, sign language interpretation, audio description, and simplified language interpretation will be provided to ensure an inclusive experience for all.

Los Angeles

The city of Los Angeles proudly hosts its Disability Pride Parade, Festival, and Fair on October 8th. Set in the vibrant East Los Angeles Civic Center, this event promises an unforgettable experience for all.

There is absolutely no cost for participants to join in the parade, festival, and fair. The 1.1-mile parade route will be soon unveiled on the Disability Pride LA website, offering a sneak peek into the lively procession.
