The Caribe Hilton, inaugurated in 1949, is located in San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico. This historic hotel is close to the airport and the Paseo Caribe, a place where a variety of events are organized and a lot of restaurants and shops are located. The accessible hotel faces the sea, has a bird sanctuary and is surrounded by tropical flora. It was the first Hilton hotel that opened outside the continental United States and legend has it that the modern-day piña colada was created in one of its bars in 1954.
It has a total of nine restaurants and bars serving a variety of cocktails and cuisine (Italian, Puerto Rican and international). Guests can enjoy a private beach area, three tennis courts, a gym and three outdoor swimming pools.
